In her book, the author presents the history of modern architecture in Silesia between 1900 and 1939 against the backdrop of the specific political and social situation on both sides of the Polish-German border. Taking into account the broad network of personal and institutional connections, she situates regional history within the context of international modernist architecture. The richly illustrated book contains a comprehensive Polish-German bibliography and biographical notes on architects.
