Graduate of the Institute of International Relations at the University of Warsaw. He specialises in German foreign policy and the European Union, as well as Poland’s relations with Germany and the EU. He began his professional career in the late 1990s at the Centre for International Relations, with which he was associated until 2006. He worked at the Willy Brandt Centre for German and European Studies at the University of Wrocław. He held research fellowships at the University of Birmingham and at the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik in Berlin. From 2008 to 2012 he was Berlin correspondent for “Gazeta Wyborcza”. Director of the Warsaw office of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR).
